I want to thank the commissioners for giving me the opportunity to manage.

Hall of Fame
I want to thank the entire league for putting the Hall of Fame together and inviting us to your banquet. I am honored to been considered and selected to be in the inaugural class. It was nice to see a lot of the old faces and the new players as well. The league looks well positioned and you guys look like you are having lots of fun. I must confess it made me miss those Sunday mornings. Maybe I should come out of retirement. What round do you think I would go in? Todd's assessment of my game for the draft might be, he can't run or throw and once dropped a pop up to lose a game, we'll take him in the 10th round.
Hi Everyone-------Please note the time change for the beginning of the banquet on 11/20/12@ Landerhaven. Cocktails and h'ors doeuvres have been moved up to "6:15 pm" from 6:30pm until 7:00pm. Look forward to seeing all of you there....
Congratulations to all of you for making this season the best ever--hopefully--to be exceeded only by future years. From the competitive games from Week 1 to today's FIRST Annual All-Star Game with a 14-13 score, it clearly shows that the new innovations that emerged this year as Charity Food Drives, an outstanding crop of new quality players to the league, initiations of an All-Star game and a Hall of Fame, will further offer great new enticements and excitement to the future years of Beachwood Men's Softball.
We will soon have another post-season meeting of Commissioners and Managers to evaluate this highly successful season and make it even better next year and beyond.
Thanks to all of you for making this season such a success. Hope to see you all at the banquet. Stay tuned for updates.
Congratulations guys!!! What a pleasure to have played with one of the nicest, classiest, unselfish and most talented teams I have ever been a part of!! Our mixture of wide eyed rookies and grizzlef veterans was the perfect combination as we all fed off eachothers energy!!! Yes, sometimes it takes a little time for us Gilbert teams to gel, but once we do...watch out!!! It was a storybook ending the season with 7 straight victories!!!
To me, the best part of the season was all the very young sons that got a chance to watch there Dad's with "bright eyes" and were able to have the chance to play catch with their Dad's, shag balls in the outfield, take a few swings in between games...and share in the experience of watching their Dad's win a Championship!!! This year will hold lots of memories for ALL of our team's father's and sons! I still remember being that little 5 year kid watching my Dad play and how proud I was!! It was really so fantastic to see Ralph DiRusso and Chris Daniel enjoying the experience of playing with their son's for the first time and watching their faces when Danny, Anthony, or Will made a great play or had a big hit...while watching my Dad still glowing at 77 and still having the joy of playing with Rodd and I!! Championships and trophies are terrific, but the ultimate joy is seeing our fathers and sons enjoying the moment and making everlasting memories that for now we all kind of take for granted! This is what makes The Beachwood Men's Softball League so great and so special from any other softball league!!!
Good luck to the Adelman and Baker teams this Sunday and here's to hoping you other teams, win or lose, had as a terrific and enjoyable summer as the Orange team had!!
